Initial Discovery
If you are interested in acquiring a puppy from us please fill out the puppy questionnaire and return it to us. We will notify you when we have a confirmed pregnancy. We only breed 2-3 litters a year.

Selection Process
We will check references and conduct a phone interview. Once the puppies are 8 weeks old, they are evaluated for their show potential. We spend so much time with the babies, we know their temperaments and can more easily match the right puppy with the right family. If we feel we have a match for you, we will notify you.

Paperwork
Lazy Paws has a contract that must be signed when purchasing a puppy. All of our puppies are sold on a Limited Registration except show puppies. This means the dog cannot be bred, and offspring are not eligible for registration. The dog can be shown in any AKC performance but cannot be shown in conformation shows. The contract is mailed out in advance of receiving your puppy so you will have time to read over it and ask any questions.

Puppy Time
Once the puppies are evaluated at 8 weeks of age, they are ready to go to their new homes. We provide a handbook that has a tremendous amount of information on housebreaking, crate training and an assortment of other important information. The puppies are already AKC registered, have their first set of vaccinations, and are microchipped before they are sent to their new homes.
